BETTER WAY USA is a non-profit, non-protest, non partisan, grass-roots organization, which is sponsoring the GREAT AMERICAN TAXPAYER'S REVOLUTION. This is a membership drive to build the most powerful advocacy group ever. The mission of this group is to replace the IRS and the income tax with a Progressive 10% National Sales Tax. To make this fair and simple tax progressive we will exempt food, rent and medicine.

BETTER WAY USA is not anti-government. We are mainstream Americans who believe that we live in the greatest country in the world. We also believe that we have an obligation to pay our taxes in support of our government. Not paying taxes is not what this effort is about. What it is about is change, drastic change, in the way we pay and collect our taxes.

To get this change, we plan to use FUNDS raised and the power of our members, for write-in, FAX-in, and call-in campaigns, to make sure that the will of the people is heard in Congress. We plan to use the FUNDS raised for the all important notification to members, for media campaigns, to hold national rallies and the membership drive.

We advocate abolishing the entire tax code and eliminating the IRS. In their place let's install a broad based 10% National Sales Tax. Why? Because it is fair and equitable, and it will raise the same amount of money we presently raise, without any government involvement in our personal lives. The concept is so simple, why haven't we done it before now?

There is action in this issue. There have been hearings. Congressman Bill Archer wants a National Sales Tax. BUT he says the people must provide a ground swell of support. The THE GREAT AMERICAN TAXPAYER'S REVOLUTION provides the forum for building the ground swell. Also, Senator Richard Lugar favors a National Sales Tax. He says he will make it a central issue. (Note: we are non-profit, and we cannot endorse or support individual candidates.)

We need you to join with us as we create that ground swell needed to get rid of the IRS and income tax, and all the wasted time, and wasted money, and stress, and worry, that they cause. No more keeping records and reporting. Hundreds of billions of dollars and an estimated 5.4 billion hours of wasted time will be saved. A burden will be gone.

You will like this. Our plan is to stop the action of the IRS completely. No more IRS investigations, ever. That also means that those who owe back taxes no longer owe anything. Total amnesty!. The stress is gone. The IRS is gone. The income tax is gone. And no more keeping records. What a relief!

Retired or near retirement? We should also eliminate inheritance taxes, the capital gains tax, and tax on interest and dividends. Then you get to keep what you earn in this life. And you can keep all of your social security check.

We must also say a few words about a flat income tax. Do not be decieved, it is still an income tax and it does not get rid of the IRS. You still have to keep records and you do not get your privacy back. Also, we do not advocate a value added tax.

And remember, the switch to a National Sales Tax is good because those who cheat and pay no taxes now, will automatically pay their fair share when they buy. And the wealthy will pay more too, because they spend more.

Even more important, the tax change removes a moral dilemma from the lives of all taxpayers. It removes the temptation to cheat on their taxes. Then our kids don't learn to cheat. This is a critical to the push for family values. We need this change to lift the degenerating burden which has contributed to the decay of the moral fabric of our society. Individuals who owe back taxes are constantly being pressured by the IRS. Does the IRS and the Income Tax system by its very nature cause 50% of the divorces and bankruptcies? What is your guess? Whatever the number, it is a sick system and it must be changed. We cannot have this continual stress destroying the moral and physical health of the people.

Getting rid of the IRS and the income tax is an issue that should make your blood boil. How did we ever allow such a burdensome and stressful tax system to intrude upon our lives? Even the IRS agents can't agree on the meaning of all the counter-productive rules. It is crazy! Really, you owe it to yourself, your family, and your country to participate in this cause for the people. The benefits are enormous. This is an emotional issue. People will fight for this cause.

Don't let anyone tell you that this is an impossible task. Because it is not. Remember, no one predicted that the Berlin wall would fall, -- and it did. The world was shocked when the USSR fell apart, too. This project, to get rid of the IRS and the income tax, pales in comparison to those momentous events. CERTAINLY we can make this happen. And we will. There are millions of you who feel exactly like we do. All we have to do is unite with one voice.
